West Coast University is looking for a compensation analyst. This is a great opportunity for an HR professional to grow their compensation knowledge with a growing company and HR function. This role will support the Director, Compensation and Benefits in a multi-faceted, multi-location academic and administrative setting. Supporting a fast growing University system, this role will coordinate and oversee the administration of compensation programs by evaluating positions, reviewing and determining wage and salary structures, conducting market surveys and analyzing statistical data, and completing transactions within the database system. The compensation analyst provides guidance on compensation-related issues for management, develops appropriate job descriptions, maintains the job description resources and compensation information.
One of the first projects this role will support is seeing our job description project to completion. The compensation analyst will work within the new job architecture, leveraging competencies, and job levels to ensure the job descriptions fit within our model. This role will have an opportunity to really dive in and learn West Coast University’s job architecture model (leveling, smart code configuration, competencies). The compensation analyst will be assigned to other compensation projects and activities based on the season.
This opportunity comes with the potential to contribute to the continued development of the compensation model for the University.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree and two years of Human Resources experience in a compensation or analytical role. Working experience with local, state, and federal laws is required. Understanding of compliance and regulatory standards such as Title IV, ABHES, BPPVE is preferred.
