The Director, HR Operations is both a strategic and hands-on role leading and executing projects to improve the organizations overall HR operations, HR systems, compliance and analytics.   This role will report directly to the Chief People Officer and will have oversight for the HR Operations staff.


  • Manages, develops, and mentors the human resources operations/HRIS staff.
  • Proactively partners with the IT team to support HR technology configuration, upgrades and business initiatives to ensure optimal use.
  • Drive continuous improvement through the development of meaningful metrics/analytics and create quarterly dashboards.
  • Supports HR Business Partners and drives the data for all HR planning cycles.
  • Oversees all HR Operations activities which includes onboarding and off-boarding associates and other employee life-cycle related programs.   Ensures the timeliness and integrity of data in the HRIS. 
  • In collaboration with IT, partners with the Payroll department to ensure accurate data moves smoothly and accurately between the HRIS and the payroll system.
  • Drive process optimization, partnering with HR stakeholders to understand current process inefficiencies and use critical thinking to evaluate solutions.
  • Ensure company related administrative audits, forms and reports are completed accurately, timely and in compliance with relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Ensures Human Resources policies are reviewed and amended, as needed, based on changes to legislation and/or internal processes and practices.


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent work experience required.
  • PMP Preferred.


  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience required, including HR systems, compliance, analytics and HR operational programs.
  • Strong project management, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to effectively work cross functionally
  • Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to clearly define, implement, communicate process improvements and technology solutions
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience with systems implementations strongly preferred.
