Vice President, Finance

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer in a multi-faceted, multi-location academic and administration office setting, the Vice President, Finance and Accounting is responsible for all aspects of the institution’s Corporate Finance, Accounting and Procurement, including leading, building, and sustaining a world class team capable of delivering services in a high-volume, student-centric environment.

The Vice President leads, plans, organizes, and directs the financial and fiscal management aspects of the organization, including ensuring the institution is in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and all relevant regulatory/governmental agencies within the education industry. Provides leadership in the development, interpretation, coordination, and administration of the policies and procedures on finance, banking, accounting, internal controls, audit and procurement. Develops standards, policies, and procedures for all financial related operations and ensures efficiency and cost-effective resource utilization in all functions under charge. Supports Board, Audit, and Finance Committees.

This position serves as an integral member of the senior management team charged with developing and implementing plans, policies, and procedures in these areas to enhance institution’s financial management strategy, contribute to the development of the organization’s growth and strategic goals, and ensure strong student outcomes.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field required
  • Master’s degree in in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field preferred

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

  • 10 plus years-experience in a senior financial or accounting management role with experience in a high-growth, consumer-centric organization in an operational environment
  • Experience leading corporate finance, corporate accounting and procurement in a high-visibility, regulated environment strongly preferred, including experience in a world-class finance or accounting team in a corporate or substantial decentralized divisional role
  • Public company experience is not required, but will be recognized as a notable differentiator
