SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Dean, College of Nursing, and working closely with multiple nursing degree programs and campus locations, the Associate Dean of Nursing, Accreditation and Licensing is responsible for the coordination of superior accreditation outcomes for the College of Nursing along with ensuring both the programmatic expansion and compliance with state academic requirements. 

Responsibilities include the interpretation of college of nursing programmatic accreditation as well as state-specific academic requirements. This role will guide the College of Nursing in developing, evaluating, and revising academic policy, program and operational processes that are compliant with accreditation standards and state regulations as they apply to Nursing degree-based programs.  Develops and maintains effective and positive relationships with accreditors and boards of nursing, as well as provides accurate and timely strategic and tactical recommendations to administration.    Maintains a schedule of accreditation visits and submissions, trains, and provides management tools to nursing leaders and provides management reporting on assigned functions as it pertains to nursing.  Develops and maintains programmatic heat map with degree and course specific requirements for accreditors and boards of nursing for both programmatic approvals as well as operational programmatic delivery. Collaborates with others to ensure superior outcomes respective to visit preparation, generating timely and accurate documents, correspondence and reports for submission, and other process reviews.  Provides assistance to nursing leaders on program development and delivery from an accreditation and regulatory perspective. 

EDUCATION:

Doctoral degree in Nursing required.

Greater than five years’ experience working in nursing accreditation preferred.

Greater than ten years’ experience in nursing higher education required.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

Active unencumbered nursing license
