Los Angeles, California Job ID: 2026-4743 Salary Range: $53,980.24 - $72,884.86As the Student Advisor in the School of Pharmacy at West Coast University, a certified Great Place to Work, you will serve as a primary point of contact for all Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) students throughout their tenure in the program. Reporting to the School of Pharmacy Assistant Dean, Student Affairs, the PharmD Student Advisor is an advising resource for student-pharmacists and is responsible for enhancing the students’ School of Pharmacy journey and overall University experience by helping them to access and utilize program-specific resources, as well as University academic and support services.
Consistent with the overall aims of the Office of Student Affairs to support student success, the Student Advisor will work to proactively address areas of concern as students strive to achieve their educational goals through collaboration with students, faculty, and associates. Your efforts will guide students to do more than change their own lives – your attention will help change the lives of every patient these future pharmacy professionals will encounter and/or treat.
As an integral member of our PharmD Student Affairs team and professional staff in the School of Pharmacy, you will have the opportunity to help expand our collective impact on the professional development of students, build their confidence, and empower them to build a professional image in the communities they serve.
You will make an impact by:
- Working with the School of Pharmacy Offices of Academic Affairs, Assessment, and Experiential Education, as well as the Administration, Faculty, and Associates.
- Collaborating with and supporting School of Pharmacy standing committees, Student Government Council, and Student Organizations.
- Collaborating across the Center for Graduate Studies (CGS) campus with the Registrar, Financial Services, Admissions, Career Services, Library Services, and CGS Campus Student Services, as well as other University departments and support services and staff on campus, to serve students in a holistic and comprehensive manner that ensures they are provided advising and support resources across administrative, co-curricular, and academic areas.
- Partnering as necessary with other external University Administration departments, including Marketing, Social Media, Procurement, etc.
- Coordinating, facilitating, and participating in student outreach activities, services, and processes in the areas of learning and retention strategies, advising, and campus life to enhance student experience, student satisfaction and support successful student outcomes.
- Educating students on Program-specific and University policy and procedures, policies, procedures, and requirements, while ensuring consistent and accurate information is identified, shared, and applied.
- Utilizing and maintaining a comprehensive recordkeeping system for the Office Student Affairs.

Your Experience Includes:
- Minimum of one-year previous experience in higher education: student affairs, academic affairs, or student services; or equivalent experience
- Helpful experience or training: Coaching and Problem Solving
- Experience with MS Office, data entry and multi-tasking
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Coursework in sociology, psychology, education, or related field
