Responsibilities

As a Clinical Coordinator for the Speech Language and Pathology program member for a certified Great Place to Work, you will guide students to do more than change their own lives – you will help change the lives of every patient they treat throughout their career in healthcare. At West Coast University you will have the opportunity to share your success story with the next generation of nurses as a key member of our student-centered, innovative community!
You will make an impact by:
- Providing administrative support services to the Campus Director of Clinical Education and Program Director, SLP.
 - Identifying clinical placements, assisting in clinical site acquisition, and following second year students through the processing of sites.
 - Ensures a seamless operation to allow the department to fulfill its goals.
 - Prepare for and maintain compliance with accrediting bodies.
 - Prepares meeting agendas, memos, and correspondence; completes a variety of non-routine assignments.
 - Serves as a liaison between the Program Director and Manager of Clinical Education and other members of the University, clinical sites, and other organizations as appropriate.
 
Your Experience Includes:
- Three to five years of experience performing complex and responsible office and administrative/secretarial duties, preferably including some administrative support work for one or more managers in an academic, business or medical office environment.
 - Strong organizational and communication skills.
 - Proficient skills and experience in Microsoft Office computer software systems that includes word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
 - Principles and practices of classifying, indexing, processing, retrieving, and controlling a large volume of records.
 - Evidence of record keeping, account maintenance, and purchasing practices and procedures.
 - Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
 - Ability to exercise good judgment.
 
Education, Certifications, and Licensures
- Bachelor's Degree required.
 - Master's Degree preferred.
