You will make an impact by:

Assisting all the activities established for the University Alumni program, communication, events, and activities that include customer service, managing events, and fundraising. Will be accountable for the success of WCU Alumni functions and building strong relationships with key groups in the WCU community as well as providing direction to students, alumni, and industry in accordance with the mission and purpose of the University.

  • Assisting in managing the implementation and function of University Alumni program interacting with internal and external Healthcare affiliates at all levels to include graduates, students, faculty, university administrators and external agencies important in the employment success of current and future graduates.
  • Provide customer service and manage incoming inquiries by overseeing the Alumni Communications inbox responding and managing inquiries to alumni and industry communications needs.
  • Build and foster relationships, communication, and successful networking in addition to organization and management of activities related to the University Alumni functions from planning through execution of events.
  • In partnership with the Director, support the Alumni Scholarship Fund by hosting on-campus fundraising events and managing donations done through foundation website.
    • Entails approximately 30% travel to local campuses 1-3x/month, and Miami and Texas travel are 2x a year for commencement and grad bash support.
  • Support the Alumni Department by managing weekly mailers to overall constituency.

Who you are:

  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience developing skills through application of standards and processes within a narrow scope of work.
  • Managing large funds and allocating expenses related to event planning, marketing, and organization.
  • Experience with interpersonal communications and interviewing procedures.
  • Having proficient command of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and correct usage of the English language.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of educational settings and administration desired.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and student databases.
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly ethnic and culturally diverse student and associate community.
  • Ability to work as a team leader and manager.
  • Ability to build and manage important public relations.
  • Please note that this is an onsite position where you will work in our Administrative office in Irvine daily.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends on an as-needed basis.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, administration, business management, communications, marketing, public relations, student personnel, or related field required.

Compensation:

  • $22.90 – 30.91/hour
